With the growing need of applications that could be
ported to different servers without change in code or anything, a language was
needed which could be platform independent and can run on any server. This is
when Java came into existence. Java has come a long way since its induction and
is the buzzword these days. Working Environment
We have
come a long way in implementing systems using Java. We have incorporated the use
of Java's latest suite of integrated products viz J2EE. J2EE is the latest Java
standards comprising of Servlets, JSP, EJB, RMI and RMI-IIOP, JNDI, JDBC, JTA
and JTS, JMS, Java IDL, Java Mail, Connectors, XML. Considerable work has been
done on these technologies. JSP, Servlets and Java Beans were extensively used
in projects running on NT Server and SQL Server 7.0 at its back end, using JDBC-Type4
Driver. A lot of research and demo project has been worked upon using EJB, JSP,
RMI, JNDI, JDBC and JavaMail. Web Servers and Web Applications
In terms of configuring web servers for the smooth working of our sites, we have
successfully deployed and checked various aspects of servers including:
Orion 1.4.4
Web Logic
Silver Stream
Jrun
Tom Cat
ServletExec
We have deployed EJB's and web applications on Orion, Web Logic and Silver
Stream and they work very smoothly on them with considerable stress checking.
Database Connectivity Connectivity and database operations with:
Oracle
7.x Oracle
8i SQL
Server 6.x and 7.0 SQL
Server 2000 MS
Access Testing Environment for Java Applications Besides using
several Testing methodologies, we have been testing our software on multi-levels.
These include: Developer's
Machine Proxy
Server (In office premise) Dedicated
Software Testing Server (Online testing at our development servers) Deployment
Server, where the final tested and approved software is deployed for the live
sites. Expertise Server

User Interfaces using Swing/JFC EJB
deployment and testing on different application servers Usage
of various third party tools including Java Mail, JSSE, Ora Matcher, Xalan and
JAXP Java Beans. Deploying
